Description
Myrtle Creek Christmas Timber Truck Parade Blue, a photograph taken in Myrtle Creek, Oregon by Michele Avanti
There is nothing like a Timber Truck Parade to open the Christmas Season. On the second Saturday of December, in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, trucks of all kinds are decked out in lights with candy canes, santas, wreaths, snowmen and elves for the fabulous and unusual Timber Truck Parade. .
People come from all over Oregon. They set up chairs along Old 99E where the parade takes place. It starts in Riddle and ends in downtown Myrtle Creek. As many as 100,000 people have been known to converge on the little town of 3700 people to see the event. Here is one of the wonderful trucks for you to enjoy!

Michele Avanti replied:
How cool, Jim.. I do love these parades. The whole town comes together on a very cold night and we celebrate lights and life as well as the Season. Thank you for stopping by and sharing.
