Dreams of Yosemite - painting - Michele Avanti

The beauty of a mountain face, trees and water under a peaceful sky is what I have attempted to capture here. Though I have never been to Yosemite, I have seen many pictures and videos. I was amazed that they have webcams there that you can view online. Since I am, like many, bound by the pandemic, I decided to paint the landscapes I cannot visit. The nice thing about painting is you can create the colors you see in your mind rather than the actual colors you get in a photograph. Also you can add the animals you wish you could see but would be rather frightened if you did. LOL. So I have painted in a brown bear.
I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I did painting it.
