Description
Full Moon Over The Umpqua, photograph by Michele Avanti.
It is not often you get to capture a full moon at sunset and especially in the Fall when the trees are changing colors. Afterall there are only 12 - 13 full moons in any year, so to get a clear evening sky where you can actually see the moon in Oregon is a surprise. Here you see a portion of the South Umpqua River. The lower part of the image is a bird refuge, or sanctuary. If you look closely you will see both birds and ducks in the photo.

Love this view! I like that full moon getting ready to light the night and the wonderful reflection of the autumn colors in the river. Great capture, Michele.
